Dr Steffen Decker is our lead orthodontic specialist. He completed his primary dental training and his specialist training in Germany, Switzerland, and America, and is well trained in interceptive early treatment in 7-year-olds and upwards, and has completed over 2,700 cases in early intervention in his 12 years of practice. From classical functional devices to modern approaches like Invisalign First or Teen – Dr Steffen is skilled in choosing the best solution for each child's orthodontic needs, and as a dedicated parent to three boys, Dr Steffen knows how to establish rapport with children.

Passionate about invisible treatment options like Invisalign and lingual braces, Dr Steffen’s expertise in these treatments is unrivalled. He feels fortunate and grateful to have chosen orthodontics as a profession, and believes a good orthodontist must possess several attributes; a keen eye for angles and spatial relationship, good listening and communication skills, and the ability to balance theoretical and practical concerns.

Dr Steffen enjoys teaching and lecturing all over the world in the field of orthodontics, and in 2017 he was awarded world number 1 lingual Incognito Provider. Since 2021 he has belonged to the top 1% Invisalign Kids & Teen Providers in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, and was awarded the prestigious Diamond Apex Status. In 2022 he became the first and only Kois recognised specialist in the UK.

As one of the world’s leading lingual orthodontists and Invisalign users, Dr Steffen has treated over 1,300 lingual orthodontic patients and has been a member of the global advisory board for 3M and their clinical advisor for Western Europe. He’s also the director of two MSc programs at the City of London Dental School and Bolton University, and an official Invisalign clinical speaker lecturing worldwide.
